ADMISSION INTO MBBS / BDS COURSES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2013-14
FOR VERIFICATION OF CERTIFICATES OF SPORTS AND GAMES, NCC, CAP (ARMY), PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED AND POLICE MARTYRS CHILDREN (PMC)

In continuation of this office notification dated 16.07.2013 the Candidates who wish to claim the seat under Special Category seats i.e. Sports and Games, NCC, CAP (Army), Physically challenged and Police Martyrs Children (PMC) who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria i.e. age, marks in EAMCET – 2013 and marks in qualifying examination specified in the notification dated 16.07.2013 are only eligible to attend along with all Original Certificates and 4 sets of attested Xerox copies for verification at Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada as per the schedule given below:

*1. As per the regulations of MCI, the Physically Challenged candidates with locomotor disorder of lower limbsbetween 40% to 70% are only eligible.  Candidates are informed to appear for medical examination before the medical board constituted by the Competent Authority for confirmation of eligibility for admission under PH category. Other disability candidates need not attend the verification.

 2.The guidelines of Govt. of India and regulations of MCI shall be observed in making admissions of differentlyabled (Physically Handicapped) candidates, according to which the Physically Handicapped candidates withlocomotor disorder of lower limbs between 50% to 70% will be considered first and remaining unfilled seats will be filled by candidates with 40% to 50% disability.


Eligibility for admission into MBBS/BDS courses:

The candidate should be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders and should satisfy the Local or Non-local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement) as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admissions) Order, 1974 and the selection will be done as per the procedure laid down in the G.O.P.No.646, dated 10.07.1979 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Department, dated 18.05.2009.

The candidate should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology and English.
·     OC candidates should obtain not less than 50% marks in science subjects.
·     BC/SC/ST candidates should obtain not less than 40% marks in science subjects.
·       OC PH candidates should obtain not less than 45% marks in science subjects.

The candidate should have qualified in EAMCET-2013
·   OC candidates should secure not less than 50% marks (80 marks)  in EAMCET -2013
·   BC/SC/ST candidates should secure not less than 40% marks (64 marks)  in EAMCET -2013
·   OC PH candidates should secure not less than 45% marks (72 marks)  in EAMCET -2013

The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31-12-2013 The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31-12-2013 need not attend the counseling. The candidates born on or after        02-01-1997 are not eligible to attend the Counseling for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses.

The candidates who wish to claim seats under Anglo Indian, Sports & Games, CAP (Army), NCC, Physically challenged (PH) and Police Martyrs Children (PMC) also need to fulfill the above eligibility criteria

One year Compulsory Rural Service: As per G.O.Ms.No.165, HM & FW (E1) Dept., dated 20.07.2010, the Medical / Dental graduates passing out of the Govt. Medical and Dental colleges as well as Private Medical and Dental (Minority and Non-minority) colleges in the State shall serve one year Compulsory Rural Medical / Dental service.


Note:       If any eligible candidate fails to attend the verification of certificates on the above respective dates, the candidate will not be considered later for verification and selection against the respective category seats into MBBS/BDS courses for the academic year   2013-14.
